Yes you can. But you need to do a lot of research. Fixing your credit isn’t as simple as paying off old bills. Those items will stay on your credit report as a negative account, unless you do some negotiating to have them reported as “paid.” Also, getting new credit will help you build your credit score. Having available credit, paying your bills on time, and maintaining a good debt/income ratio is the key. I found a lot of good information at this site when I was working on mine,.

in order to buy a condo, you would need to pay off that debt first and pay all your bills on time – it will take quite a while for a 540 score to get up to 700+ where you would get a decent int rate, plus you’ll also need to save for downpayment and closing costs – I don;t see that happening “a few months after you graduate” if you only make 30k now – could take you 10-15 yrs to pay off that much debt
